DINNER 

2014, installation, sound, lasting 4 minutes 25 seconds, drawing on the wall, size 1,80 x 2,5m. The audio is recorded next to the “Table of Silence” of Constantin Brâncuși, Târgu Jiu, România. The drawing is a life size image of a family gathered at the dinner table. Dinner refers to the symbolism of the Last Supper, of its atmosphere of tension and expectation which today seems to have expanded from isolated moments to a permanent state. The original title given by Brâncuși to the “Table of Silence” was “The table of the twelve apostles”. This was changed during the communist dictatorship for ideological reasons and has never been restored since.

2014, installazione, suono, durata 4 minuti 25 secondi, disegno su muro, dimensione 1,80 x 2,5m. L’audio è ripreso accanto al “Tavolo del silenzio” di Constantin Brâncuși, Târgu Jiu, România. Il disegno replica in dimensione reale una scena di famiglia al tavolo. Dinner rimanda al significato dell’ultima cena, alla sua atmosfera di tensione e aspettativa che sembra nel contemporaneo espandersi dai momenti isolati ad uno stato permanente. Il titolo originale dato da Brâncuși al’ “Tavolo del silenzio” è “Il tavolo dei dodici apostoli” cambiato durante la dittatura comunista per ragioni ideologiche e mai ridato indietro.
